What's this site about?
When you are a kid, you dream about what you want to be when you get older. Firefighters, pilots, doctors, scientists, the list goes on and on. What they don’t tell you when you’re a kid is that after 12 years of grade school, in order to be what you’ve always dreamt of, you have to go back to school. College. It can be the best time or the worst time. Some people are cut out for it and others can’t handle the pressure or realize it wasn’t for them. College dropout rates are slowly decreasing since 1990 but it still seems to be an issue with many colleges and universities around the nation. Many things play into factor when looking at the statistics of college dropouts, but in this site, we break it down for you to understand a little bit more about what is happening. After getting data from reliable sources, we put together two graphs. One was about the dropout rates based on demographics and the other is about students who never attended secondary education based on Geographic’s. Included as well is a video interview with current college students, photos from in a college campus, a questionnaire, and a few short and fast facts about college dropout statistics. After reading through our site, we hope to give you a better understanding of the college dropout.
